Charli De Koning is a multi-disciplinary artist Studying at the University of Auckland's Elam School of Fine Arts. As a genderqueer person, De Koning aims to create work that challenges gender politics and queer theory, and is a way of self-expression through the transition to a transgender individual. This is acheived through self portraits, screenprinting, photography, a 6ft text based wall painting, collage and many ceramic sculptures.

De Koning's practice also explores the alternative and punk cultures in Auckland. Documenting gigs and shows as well as producing music, video and multi-media installations inspired by industrial goth and witchhouse music genres.
