Deborah Moss works from her country studio in North Auckland beside lush gardens and a beautiful native forest which provides endless inspiration for her creative practice.

 

Her colourful and expressive paintings mirror her dynamic surroundings and contain references to organic forms and a growing visual vocabulary. Layers and colours are initially applied playfully – inviting a more considered response as the dialogue between gestures and storytelling evolves.

 

The artist has a MA (Hons) from The University of Auckland and has exhibited throughout New Zealand and recently in Australia.

Her work is represented by several galleries in New Zealand and is held in private collections in New Zealand and overseas.
