Molly Timmins is a painter interested in exploring heritage and the natural environment. Being in a family with generations of gardeners has provoked a fascination with the natural wonders of New Zealand. Her response to this can take the form of painting that prioritises the sensations of experiencing a landscape, and in this instance the work seeks to evoke an internalised sense of place.
