Round Buddah is an Auckland-based R&B/hip-hop band that explores not only interesting instrument arrangements, but also honest and raw lyrics. Since forming in 2014, their style has morphed from an instrumental group to the current lineup of Holly Afoa (vocals), Jackson Lester (rap), Sam Nash (bass), Tom Taylor (keys/synths), and Chris Townsend (drums).

 

Round Buddah released their first single, Rejected, in June 2017. The song was picked up by Spotify's Fresh Finds: Fire Emoji playlist, leading to an international following. RB releases their second single on 18.08.17, with an EP to follow.

 

After finishing 2017 with a NYE set at Rhythm and Vines, Round Buddah took a hiatus to focus on writing and honing their craft. The time has come for the Auckland based hip-hop/neo-soul group to share a more refined sound with their followers through their ‘Acting Strange’ dual single release. To celebrate, they hit the road on a Australasian tour beginning in Auckland, Queenstown, and Wellington and hitting Melbourne and Sydney on the way.
